Fencers from Penn State University (PSU) locked up 4 individual titles on the way to propelling the school to its 11th combined team title since 1990 when the current format began.

Penn State led in the number of bout victories from day one and never relinquished the lead. Penn State ended the NCAAs with 195 total victories. Notre Dame came in second with 182 and Ohio State 3rd with 166.

The inividual titles were determined by taking the top 4 fencers from the round-robin phase of the tournament and the final four fenced off in 15 touch elimination bouts to get the champion. There was no fence-off for 3rd place.
