Had a brief chat with William (Wild Bill) Walker Saturday at the VET challenge in Sunnyvale. I hadn't realized Bill is presently the VET Chair for USA Fencing. Two items of interest:
    1. According to Bill, Don Anthony, USA Fencing President, is trying to get more VET input and Bill has been pulled into several different committees as the voice of VETs. So put a buzz in his ear about what you may or may not appreciate.
    2. Again according to Bill, the FIE is looking to expand the age range for VETs to include either a group starting at age 75 or in some manner enhance the 80's. Also some talk about awarding points for the 80's, which is a very small (elite?) group.

    Anyway thought that was interesting.
    best regards
