A humorous title for those in finance....

But seriously. Fencing socks are the bane of my existence.

What's the awesome high tech fencing sock out there that doesnt get hot, stays above the knee, etc.

Hell....that makes it a winner right there!

I remember one Y14 girls from a few years ago. Wore those kinds of socks...a different one on each leg. I think I saw her 8 times and she never repeated a sock once.

Yep. Y14 ladies take the cake with regard to socks. And for some reason, I see more interesting socks on fencers from Maryland than from elsewhere.

    I would apply a different adjective. ;)

Dick's sporting goods house brand soccer socks are pretty good as well. they aren't paper thin but don't get all that hot either. I'm 5'10 and the adult large ones come up to just under my kneecaps.

Nike fencing socks are great. Adidas tend to slip down.

i like the adidas copa zona or nike dri-fit soccer socks. TCK over-the-calf socks are nice too, but can be a little short, depending on how strict your referee is about socks.

I've always double-socked, so I don't have the falling issue. I've also used the same pair of purple soccer socks (hence my screen name from waaaaay back!) and they come over my knees anyway.

Two pairs of socks is no guarantee of, uh, stay-uppiness. I wear two pairs, but when they're the usual Wigwam sort they slide down anyway.

Currently I wear heavy-duty Wigwams and my old Vet Worlds socks from Swordmasters, which hold up the pair underneath as well as themselves. ( They are plenty long enough, they have excellent elastic tops, they wear like iron, and naturally they are no longer made/available I am told. )
