    This is going to sound really stupid, but what exactly does the s2000 on sabre blades mean? Also, what exactly is an STM blade, are they just the ones made by BG, or is there something special that qualifies them as STM? Thank you in advance!

    First, s2000 is a mark to indicate that it conforms to the rule made in 2000 for the stiffness of the blade. STM is a Ukrainian fencing company. BG just sells them as do most companies.
