Remember the rubber strips that used to be in common use? Does anyone remember the specifications--thickness, resiliency, anything else?

I thought they were just regular rubber floor mats/runners...

Not my favorite surface to fence on. Tended to buckle/with age and use, making the surface uneven. I also found it gave too much resistance to forward motion, stressing my knees more.

and they would get very slick when they were dusty, which made me wonder why we used them, but we always did.
