And cue fake GOP outrage in 5...4...3...
Some of the R's I know would have any fake outrage. The indignity will be real.
Given the way fencing images and action figures have come out in the past I really expected her to be holding an epee.
Instead the only fail appears to be the glove. The little bitty glove.
Is it one of those fakes that Purple Fencer has been telling us about?
Also, from the article (at the time of this writing):
"In addition to earning bronze in women's team foil with the United States, the New Jersey native also started a modest fashion clothing line called Louella, Mattel noted."
"In addition to earning bronze in women's team foil with the United States..."
"...women's team foil..."
(Even better, the article itself states, "The doll was made in the likeness of Muhammad, complete with a hijab, a fencing uniform, Nike shoes, helmet, and saber.")
A closer view.
The sabre actually looks good, but the glove appears to be an oven mitt or something.
Meh....I'm more happy the face actually kinda resembles hers.
I think it's awesome, period. I want one.

Queue stupid political comment in an otherwise positive situation in 5...4...3...
Oh, yeah, already well underway on FB.
The ones on Faux News had me cringing.
Don't read that shit, it's bad for you
Well underway on posts 2 and 3 in this thread. It disgusts me how people need to spin any positive thing into a chance to get on a soapbox and give us their garbage opinions.
I've seen a few of the FB posts....I stand by my original one in this thread.
Uh, where did I say anything negative about her or the doll?
In fact, I applaud it from sports, social, and inclusive perspectives. She's a great role-model and I hope the doll does well to inspire people.
I'm so pleased for her and for the sport. It's nice recognition all around.
