    So this popped up on Reddit yesterday. Would that be legal? [​IMG]

    I know the prat saber handle exists and was fie approved but his seems a little much.

    There's nothing in the rules about it. Nothing on grips at all for sabre. The only limitations would be the ones already in place for orthopedic grips, eg fixing the hand in one position, proximity of the thumb to the guard, insulation, etc.

    Of course it's a monstrosity which ought to be killed with all dispatch, and it's owner beheaded, buried in hallowed ground with a stake through his heart and a stone between his jaws, so that the curse does not spread to others. But it's not illegal. Unholy, but not illegal.

    Except the rule mentioning grips for sabre:

    Well, I was talking about the material rules. There are mentions of the sabre grip in other places and contexts, but none specify a shape or type.
