The new allstar lame's look to be the same material as LP.

Now, while I have not seen on in person I am hoping that someone else has. How do they compare to LP?

If they are equivalent, then I am thinking of ordering one from FSL for decreased markup.

Do you mean the new lightweight that Max Hartung was wearing the other day? It looked very spiffy, and gives (hopefully) a decent third option for them. Blue Gauntlet and LP have sold them for years, BG used to be the cheapest but are now in line with LP. I am going to check them out at JOs.

Or the one that Szabo wore at the olympics. Or Yakimenko at the black sea cup.

Off the subject, the above picture is a perfect example of what I call a "perfect" lunge. Front upper leg horizontal, lower front leg vertical. Back leg is fully extended with the heel of the foot planted.

Technically, though, the foot should not be rolled onto its side like that.

Really? It seems like most sabrists I know are foot draggers. Who knew?

Oh, almost all are. It's one of the classical features which has been sacrificed to speed and distance. Really there's no need to maintain the old sole-on-the-floor any longer, IMO, but if we're talking about "perfect" lunges the foot roll is a flaw.

Yes, but it may damage the mask.
