Max Callao death.....

    For anyone who knows Max Callao from Salle Boise, I have some sad news. Max died last night at home.

    I have know MAX for closed to 25 years and not a finely man and fencer I have meet. He was good foil fencer as well has epee fencer. When I fence him in epee and know the bout was going be clean but a tough one. The fecning commuitte in ID his going to miss him.

    I'm very sorry to hear that about Max. We fenced in the Beachcombers Tournament on the Oregon coast in the early '90s, and he knocked me out of DEs in épée at the Nike World Masters Games. A real sportsman and a charming guy.

    My condolences to his family and what must be many many friends.

    I had the great pleasure of meeting and fencing with Max Callo at the Vet Worlds in Krems in 2004. I thought him charming, kind, skillfull, and generous. I will miss him.

    Well damn... My condolences to his family and all the fencers of Utah and Idaho.
    I enjoyed fencing him many years ago when I lived out there.
