Sadly, the Owner of Ideal fencing passed away last year and the son is selling off stock at significantly discounted prices.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but thought I'd pass on their website. I picked up some equipment this weekend at exceptionally low prices. The Owner is willing to discuss rates and reasonable offers.

    Be careful, though.

Unless "meets and exceeds 350N standard" means "800N standard" then no, it would not be "suitable for any level of competition". I didn't think that the old sabre gloves were even being sold any more.

Domestic competition in Canada requires min 350N but point taken.

I wouldn't say this is all top end high performance gear either. But $60 for a huge fencing bag, $80 for an electric epee (albeit not top end) are not bad deals for us moderates.

So Canada did not adopt the FIE requirement for sabre gloves?

That's an odd reversal of standards adoption for the two countries. The US doesn't even require 350N uniform or masks, but mandates the 800N sabre glove. Canada requires the 350N standard for uniforms and masks, but doesn't mandate the 800N glove.
