How to start

    Hello guys, am Panos,from greece,am 17 years old,94 kg, 183cm, on of my friends suggested me to try fencing because I want to lose some body fat and it will be interesting,I was thinking about how to start and also I have a question about what hand should I use,I write with my left hand, I draw with this, I eat with this,but everything contains power am doing it with the right one.Hope you will help with my first steps,thanks for your time.

    As a lefty you would have a significant advantage at lower levels, and leading up to higher levels it gets harder but you will still have one.

    Being left-handed can be a challenge for you and your coaches as you're learning, since drills have to be translated from right to left and sometimes the point of the drill doesn't work in a lefty-righty context (that's not to say that lefties should always be working with a left-handed practice partner, though sometimes it helps in understanding the lesson).
