Hello all. My son has recently taken up fencing and in a bid to find the most appropriate footwear we've searched the Internet and read the threads and the excellent guide on this forum. We've narrowed it down to either Asics gel domain 3 (not 4, what were they thinking when they brought those out), or these Forza leanders. He's 12 and wears a size 42.

We've read that the Asics are considered to be decent "non-fencing" shoes for fencing, but can seem to find any reviews or comments on the Forza leanders. Does anyone have any experience of them or thoughts based on the pictures and description?

    Any input appreciated.

I feel like if your son is 12 and already wearing a size 42, it doesn't matter what shoes you get him he's going to outgrow them in like three months.

    The leanders look fine.

What are your fencer's and your needs? What do you want to achieve with non-fencing shoes?
