Epee - Interesting 'trend'

    Once I was down 9-2 in DE. I switched to french and ended up loosing anyway :). I almost had it, but lost 15-14.
    I try to fence both, to give my students as much exposure to different styles and techniques.

    At the Junior World Championships in Bourges earlier this month, Cuomo runs out of ideas against Bruev and switches to a French grip. No muss, no fuss.

    If it is very urgent to change your weapon. Just break the blade while bending!

    If you do it too obviously or too frequently, I suppose you could be carded for delay of game for doing so, but it would have to be very egregious for a referee to award that card in this scenario. I guess in my book if you want to snap your $50 or upwards to $150 weapon to gain a minor tactical advantage, have at it.
