    Bozeman Fencing Association is seeking an Epee Coach who can also teach the fundamentals of foil and saber. This is a part-time position for a growing fencing program.

    Teach epee classes for all levels
    Teach beginning and intermediate foil and saber for ages 8 - adult
    Offer individual lessons for beginners through competitive junior levels
    Further develop in school programming to expand position with demos and classes
    Teach group classes and camps
    Integrate strength/flexibility training, care for others, and mindfulness into classes
    Travel to local, regional and national fencing competitions

    Skills and Competencies:
    Pass USFA background check, Safe Sport certification, valid drivers license
    Demonstrated ability to work well with children, teens and adults
    Minimum of Epee Moniteur or Prevot certification or equivalent
    Ability to be organized, work independently, maintain safe learning environment
    Ability to teach skills in the context of the development of whole individuals

    Work as coaching team and report to Michele to further develop programming
    Communicate closely with partner schools, organizations and parents

    Minimum of 20 hours per week with growth expected. Season is 10 months/year
    Competitive for area, commensurate with education, experience, and certifications

    About Bozeman and the BFA
    The Bozeman Fencing Association, LLC is a three-year old fencing school owned and operated by Michele Carey. There are currently 30 competitive and recreational fencers enrolled. Classes are taught in a shared space. Increased demand for youth and adult classes and increasing numbers/skill of competitive fencers has created a need for a qualified coach to assist with coaching duties and to expand and deepen the capacity of the school.

    Bozeman (pop. 48,000) is a lively, growing “New West” city located in SW Montana. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains, Bozeman is home to Montana State University and is considered one of the most livable and fast-growing cities in America. The population is young, fit, educated and embraces year-round outdoor recreation.
