    Hi Friends,
Queen City weather is very unpredictable, with Ohio River valley in play, it tends to trap bad air and moisture, so depending on temps that weekend, it really could be anything!
For what to do, you all will be hopefully pleasantly surprised. Cincinnati/N. Kentucky (NKY) area is very affordable, and has been experiencing an amazing craft beer and food boom over the last 5+ years. If you are staying anywhere near downtown or along the either river bank, you will be minutes from the convention center, downtown, riverfront and fun on both sides of the river.
OTR (Over-The-Rhine) area is adjacent to downtown and is full of great food and entertainment. Here is a decent overview of stuff to do there - https://www.urbanadventures.com/blog/neighbourhood-locals-guide-rhine-cincinnati.html
I would definitely get some Holtman's donughts, and grab a brew at Rhinegheist (OTR) (about a mile north from downtown) or Braxton Brewery (Covington, NKY, about 2 miles south, in NKY). Both of these are excellent breweries, and you can bring in outside food as well, or order stuff delivered to the brewery. In addition, Bircus Brewery is in Ludlow (~2 miles) and may even has an acrobatic circus show going on depending on a night.
Additionally, if you're looking for harder stuff, New Riff Distillery is in Newport, KY (~3 miles) and Second Sight Spirits is below our club (NKY Fencing Academy) , ~2 miles form downtown.
The Levee (Newport) is a nice mix of entertainment, food, bars and aquarium, right on the Ohio River in Newport (2-3 miles).
Fountain Square is downtown, ice skating, vendors , etc..Cincinnati Museum Center just reopened after a major restoration, probably 3-4 miles from downtown, and the Zoo is always a great visit as well.
See you all in the Queen City soon!!

Yes! Totally failed on that! If you've never had Cincinnati style chili, Skyline Chili is a MUST try! Less tasty version is also available from Gold Star Chili. Best around is Camp Washington Chili, followed by Dixie Chili - all Cincy style!

Thought others might be interested. Fares from CVG (the Cincinnati Airport) range from $2.00 to $36.00. The $2.00 are with TANK (https://www.tankbus.org/) which runs a public bus on an hourly schedule from the airport to downtown by the venue, i.e. Duke Energy Convention Center, the Millineum Hotel and Hilton Hotel. The bus apparently goes every hour at around 41 minutes after the hour up until 11:41 PM from the CVG terminal. It has one stop on the Kentucky side and then to downtown Cincinnati. Time is approximately 30 minutes. And then there is an airport shuttle as well as Uber.

Replying to my own post ;). But I ran into other fencers at the airport who just had to do it by uber or taxi. Just for future reference, I and several other fencers used the tank both both ways. With the exception of having to hit it at 41 minutes after the hour and sharing with a bunch of airport workers it was extremely convenient. Yes there were 2 or 3 stops on the way but it was just almost as fast as a taxi or Uber and had plenty of room for baggage. There were four of us on Monday morning run to CVG. At $2. you can't beat the price.
