Anyone have a source? I have a scholastic client who wants some. I had suggested custom printed oversized mouse pads and cutting the weapon pads out, but he felt they might be too heavy.

I have seen some pretty thin mouse pads...

He's looking for the school mascot, an eagle head....so I can't do the method you did.

    As have I....still looking around.

What I found so far was an oversized pad that we could probably get a few bell pads out of...I may need to get a sample to show the client.

I think it'll be easier to find interfacing of the right thinness and stiffness than it will be to find neoprene. Then you can put the heat transfer on the fabric of your choice and bond it to the interfacing.

Neoprene gets expensive by the yard. (Trust me on this). Also, heat transfer on neoprene at home can be tricky. Have you considered using a heavy grade felt, which can easily take a heat transfer?

You can buy it in sheets faced and/or backed with nylon or polyester. Maybe that would take an imprint better than the neoprene itself.

IMHO Sam, what your client is asking for is more trouble than it’s worth and probably too expensive in small quantities. Better to no bid the project and redirect them to a better alternative.

    Not that I know of.

He does stuff for LP and that is all I know.

He made all the neoprene guard pads that were printed for Duke, and other clubs.

    Worth the ask right??

I doubt he'd go for that.

I may have found a place (aside from Mike, who I did contact)....need to talk to my client...might end up going halfsies on a run so we can BOTH get some pads.
