Does anyone on the board do art of any sort, like digital or non digital? I do digital art, and I'm sure atleast one other person on this board does also.

Art? I do the old-fashioned Pencil-and-paper method. Kind of outdated these days, isn't it? :) I'm thinking of taking an art class at the high school when summers over...
    --off topic--
Anybody had any experience with high school art classes? are they good or what? PM me or something :)

    Only a little disturbing?
I also stick with the low-tech traditional method of tangible media.

I got quite interrested in digital photography. To try things out, I just went into the basement an took a picture of a chair. I don't know where the urge originated to just photograph a chair, but I think it looks quite cool now. I don't have any experience yet, but that might come if the interest stays...
    Here's the chair:

Apropos of nothing, do D+F+P's posts come up wider than everyone else's on the screen? And if so, why is that?

Because he's more specialer than everyone else.

Stylothek, I like the picture a lot; the contrast between black and light and the simplicity of it... It's beautiful :)

    *sighs*

Thanks alot. It's just lacking the sense. A chair - so what? :) Still have to come up with something it could mean...hehe
I took the picture with a 5 Megapix cam, so if you are interested in a better quality image, just tell me. I use it as a desktop background atm.

It could mean... hmm, the chair could symbolize the Home, and the dark could symbolize.... oh i dunno nevermind. You'll think of something!

I like it that you chose a very simple chair design, and only a spotlight of light. The way the chair's shadow seems to blend in with the main shadows is also very interesting... :) oh, and the chair is at an angle, but the tiles go straight (almost) to the camera. You might want to sharpen it (as you said) but i think the almost "low-quality" feel gives it a sort of... character :)
    Awesome job!

    Peace,
    -Es

Thats awesome, I like the atmosphere. My question is, what software did you do that in? Its pretty good and I'd like to be able to capture the style.
