Does anyone know which collegiate fencing clubs are active? The list at USFA seems pretty dated. Thanks.

I know that my alma mater, U of Chicago, is active. In a few weeks the USACFC (US Assoc. of Collegiate Fencing Clubs) will have their national championships, to which all clubs are welcome - that should give you a good sense of which clubs are interested in being competitive and have the funds for projects like traveling.

I don't have first-hand knowledge of how active they are, but the fencing clubs at both the University of Georgia and at Georgia Tech are holding quite large USA Fencing tournaments this season.

The Boston University Fencing Club is active, and has been so for decades.

Depends on what you mean by active. We (University of Oregon) are the only really active collegiate club in our area, so we are active in USFA events, but not part of USFCA and don't go to NCAA meets.

Worth mentioning that The Big One features both club and NCAA schools.

Also, I'd encourage checking the USACFC results from ~ the last four years. They try to rotate the geographic area that hosts the championships, so some schools only go some years. Some of the schools on the list will have really busy schedules with fairly competitive fencers, some will be confused about how to put on their gear.

Not sure if you are also looking for Canadian clubs in this list, but UNB Fredericton and the Memorial University of Newfoundland fencing clubs are both active.

Rice also appears to be active:

and the latest post shows a visit from U of H and St. Thomas, so maybe the latter is active as well. I can't find a contact on their web page.

    To throw in my lot,

The University at Albany, SUNY has an active fencing club, although it appears we are not on the "collegiate" list.
