Sada Jacobson took home her second gold medal at the NYC World Cup. The Womens’ Saber team of Jacobson (20, Dunwoody, Ga.), sister Emily Jacobson (17, Dunwoody, Ga.), Amelia Gaillard (19, Fayetteville, Ga.) and Mariel Zagunis (18, Beaverton, OR) won their second team gold of the season.

The U.S. women’s sabre team won the gold at the New York City Fencing World Cup this evening in Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall.

The team of Amelia Gaillard (19, Fayetteville, Ga.), Emily Jacobson (17, Dunwoody, Ga.), Sada Jacobson (20, Dunwoody, Ga.), and Mariel Zagunis (18, Beaverton, Ore.) defeated the team from Hungary 45-33. The victory gives Sada Jacobson, now ranked #1 in the world, her second gold of the competition. Jacobson won the individual competition on Friday evening.

This is the team’s second team gold in a row, having won in Orleans, France in March.
