Electric épée blade maraging
I bought two of these and they\'re absolutely gorgeous and without a doubt the best blades I\'ve handled so far. I bought the blue version, from Leon Paul, and wired them up with their GT Super Glide tips and it\'s an absolute dream. Excellent feel, flexibility (a bit firm, yet flexible still), balance and a firm blade keeps your tip where it ought to be.

This is the best epee blade available. Durable, nice finish, light, well balanced, etc. I have been told by a French coach that the BF blades that are rejected, are sold under a different name vendor, with the intent of keeping an excellent quality control. This past year, I bought 5 white BF blades with variable degrees of softness. Typically, it is sold with german point.

This is the most desired epee blade at the top levels of international fencing. It is the highest quality, with the best feel in terms of strength, suppleness for the flick, and stability for accuracy with the point. I will use nothing but this blade.
They come in silver, blue and gold. The blue and gold are tempered in a different gaseous atmosphere, which gives them their color, and supposedly some corrosion resistance.
In 2002-2003, the stiffness of the blades has varied tremendously from batch to batch. I recommended testing each blade individually before purchase. When you find a batch you like, buy a few at once.
