Summary: Impressed with durability and quality
February 1st, 2012
I bought 2 of the Favero 2 prong body cords for my daughter who competes as a varsity saber fencer in high school.  The cords lasted 2 full seasons before I had to repair 1 of them.  As a bit of background, I'm the high school team's armorer and one of the armorers at our local club.  I'm very impressed with the Favero 2 prong cords for their durability.  It does fit tight in LP sockets.  The plastic retention clip does not fit into the advanced LP cord tester, but by simply removing the clip the cord can be tested in the LP tester.

Summary: Why so short?
November 18th, 2009
Good looking assembly but some major flaws. Like many of the other manufacturers the average main wire length is shrinking. Not noticeable if you are a kid, have skinny torso, or short arms. A new BC will become virtually unusable after 1 or 2 re-terminations of the 2 prong plug. Construction is sound and the wire appears to be good quality. Nasty plastic retaining clip. Does not mate well with LP Sabre socket, very tight. On the plus side the single screw assembly for the 2 prong plug and no spring makes reassembly a snap.
Overall...Pass FWF German product superior.

Summary: Excellent Cord
January 27th, 2009

This is an excellent cord, overlooked by many.  I have been using the same Favero Foil Body Cord (the same one, not many of the same type) for almost two years now.  It has excellent design, the wire in particular is very flexible, even at very cold temperatures; they used good metal for the wire.  The plugs on the reel end have held up very nicely, as has the weapon plugs.  My only complaint is that, like many manufacturers, they went with a plastic clip, with may or may not hold on, but that's a given for most cords; mine usually works, but it depends; this can be said for a lot of cords.

Overall, highly recommended.
