PS/Chevalier FIE blade

Summary: Very nice for the priceSeptember 9th, 2006
These are very light weight blades with a good feel. Overall to me they feel very close to a BF blue, just a bit lighter and a LOT cheaper.
The first few batches of these blades had some quality control issues and a few turned out to be more fragile than you would expect for an FIE blade but those problems seem to have been corrected in the last year or so.
These blades don\'t like a lot of hard hits or kinks. They will tend to hold kinks from very hard hits and once they get a few of them the stress on the blade means they are not long for this world. If you do a lot of hard hits and powerful actions, they may not be the best choice for you, but for many fencers they are a very nice alternative to a higher priced FIE blade and I much prefer the weight and feel to the StM FIE blades, which tend to cost more.
In short, a very nice blade with a good feel and decent lifespan and a bargain for many styles of fencing at almost half the price of a BF blue.
