Summary: the only one for me
October 12th, 2009

My oldest Vniti guard has had heavy use for 6+ months and shows nothing more than scratches--no dents at all. My standard-style guards are gouged and dented. I can't believe the difference.

The Vniti costs a few bucks more but will last...forever?

Summary: light and tough

I have two of these guards and after fencing with them for a few months I am yet to get a dent in either, even after a number of hard hits. the weight of these seem to me seem to be about the same as most other light weight guards i've tried

Summary: Last Guard You'll Need to Buy
February 9th, 2009

The other reviews have said it before.  This is the BEST guard you can buy.  It seems to be completely indestructable.  I have some marks on mine, but not one of my three guards has changed its shape, AT ALL. Light, and will last you forever.  Really the last guard you'll ever need to buy.

Summary: Like a feather
January 31st, 2009
I just purchased an epee with one of these guards, and even though it's an FIE blade, this epee is lighter than any epee I've ever picked up!  I haven't had too much time to fence with it (just a tournament and a couple of practices), but I already know that I'm going to love it!

Summary: There's no competition here.

After using this guard for 8 months, I have yet to get an actual dent. Almost as light as my old Leon Paul, but unlike any other guards I've had, it seems to be dent proof. I love it.

Summary: One of the better guards.
June 20th, 2006
I bought one of these guards about two months ago at a comp. and have found it to be pretty strong and light. The lightness compares to some extra lights I have tried and the strength is better than all I have tried. The pitch about the guard not denting...mine dented after a very hard shot a couple weeks ago. No guard is completely dent proof. The dent is pretty minor so it doesn\'t need punching out or anything. Definately a great guard.

Summary: The best guards ever!
December 6th, 2004
The title pretty much says it all. I have been using one of these for a couple of months now since I first heard about them on the forum and I usually have to beat out the dents in my lightweight guards about once a month. This one has none. Scratches and the odd nick yes, but it has held up better than I could have ever believed and it is lighter than some foil guards I have used. As far as I am concerned these are the BEST bell guards ever made for epee. They cost a bit, but I will bet you they will outlast whatever blade you mount them on! Simply awesome.

Summary: Forever
November 11th, 2004
I've owned one Vniti bell for well over a year, using it daily in practice most of this time and in competitions. It has only scratches and nothing even remotely looking like a dent. It has definitely taken the shots required to put dents in regular bells. It has outlasted several BF Blue epees.

There is only one gripe I have with the bell, however. I may be something I am doing wrong, but I have multiple weapons with this bell and they all have the same problem: there is a bit of crowding going on in the space where the socket goes. My fingers sometimes have a hard problem all fitting in there with a body cord plugged in. It can be uncomfortable for me to fence with at times, and impossible for some other people.

Summary: THE best Epee Guard
September 8th, 2004
One piece construction, no rivets to come loose. Hardened Alum. Alloy WILL NOT DENT. So you understand: IT WILL NOT DENT from epee shots. I'm sure if you have at it with a ball pein hammer it will suffer... but In the past 2 months the several I have have only gotten some nicks and scuffs - NO DENTS! These are also about the same weight as a regular Aluminum guard. There is NO reason why you should want one of these right away.

Swordmasters has them for $15, and Blue Guantlet has them for 18 or 20. Well worth the extra dough. Did I mention, they don't dent?
