Electric épée blade Leon Paul
Very nice blade, if you like the feel. As others have said, these are VERY light. I have been using mine for about 18 months now. They start extremely straight (i.e. hard to set a curve in them), but eventually they adopt a nice curve that can be hard, if not impossible to eliminate. Nothing that prevents them from being legal for use, but be advised if you want a totally straight blade, this is not for you.
Regarding the feel: Mine has a tendency toward vibration, kind of a tuning fork effect, during beats. As others have stated, blade actions must be cleaner with less margin for error with these, as the reduced mass impairs their ability to overwhelm in beats, parries, and oppositions.
They are very durable. I have only seen a single one break in our club, which was against me while giving a lesson. That blade was 3 years old.
If at all possible, try to borrow one from a teammate before buying one. I like mine, but your mileage may vary.
