BG "Olympic" 3 weapon mask
It's got some great cushioning for a budget mask, and is my favorite "throw-around" mask. I wear this to every club night and it has shown little wear. Don't pop it in the dish washer to clean it though, the rivets on this mask will rust REAL bad. That was my mistake.
I can't stand the bib though. It's just too freaking big. Crimps the style y'know? I definately recommend this mask to a beginner or someone looking for a mask for just practice.

I've had this mask for over a year and is still using it. It's strong and durable, much better than the BG 3 weapon mask (350 NW), yet it's still very affordable. It just takes awhile to get use to if your old mask does not have as much padding inside. It feels a bit stuffy as first, but after you get used to it, it's actually quite comfortable.

I've had this mask for 2 years, and its still in great condition. The bib is strong, as is the mesh. I can fit my glasses under it, and can even take my mask off and put it on quickly while wearing them. One drawback was that one of my earings used to get caught on the ear hole when the plastic circle fell out, but that was easily fixed with a patch of fabric. Overall a great mask - one where I don't hesitate it's strength, which is of course, most important.

I've used the BG Olympic mask and still use one that I've retrofitted for drill work, but not for bouting. (My wife and mother-in-law bought me a really nice mask for my last birthday. Thanks!) First the good points: This mask is comfortable, has a generous bib (reducing foil target about as much as is legally permitted), and is inexpensive. The biggest drawback is that the rivets are steel (non-stainless) and rust out completely in short order if you have corrosive sweat. Unfortunately I have extremely salty sweat. Even though I would store my mask outside my fencing bag after every practice and competition and washed it on a regular basis, the rivits rusted away within six months and were literally falling off the mask. I replaced all the rivits and have had no problems since. The second drawback is that the mesh is at more of an angle than other masks and hence blocks more of the light. This makes it a bit more difficult to see out of, especially if the lighting is poor. It's not a huge difference, but it is noticable.

Of all the entry level (under $75.00) masks out there, I have found this one to be the best. I even prefer its fit and durability to some of the more pricey name brand masks on the
market.
The mask itself has a rounded mesh and head shape that looks a bit different than the more oval masks with a sharp crease in the center. The bib is make of a very tough nylon material and is bright white, almost shiny. The inside padding is very good, almost plush, and mine is a dark blue color. There is also an adjustable forehead pad that that is very useful for getting just the right fit and is a nice surprise on a mask of this price.
The mesh is very durable and springy and resists bents very well. The finish is durable and long lasting, and is also very easy to paint on if you are so inclined.
I only have two real complaints about the mask. The fist is that all that plush padding comes up far enough to cover your ears, and the mask can be hard to hear in if you have a soft-spoken director. The other problem is that the bolts that hold the bib on are not stainless, and will rust with use, discoloring the bib for about an inch around them.
Overall I think this is probably the best mask out there for the money. You could pay more but unless you are dedicated to one brand, or need an FIE mask for competition you would not have to.
