Glove "Champion"
i've only had a few gloves in my fencing career. my first couple gloves were santelli leather gloves, and then i got this uhlmann glove.
on average, the leather gloves only lasted me just a little more than five or six months before they started to develop holes. and then shortly after i'd need to replace them. although comfortable, they never lasted.
as for my uhlmann glove, i've had it for over a year now. and i barely can see any wear or tear on it. the threads have held up(unlike the absolute gloves), no holes(unlike the bg gloves), or any worn out spots(unlike both absolute and bg).
it still grips well, and fits perfectly snug around my hand. the padding is just enough to. i fence foil, so it's not a target but it still does take hits, and i'm thankful for it.
if this glove ever wears out, i wouldn't have a problem at all getting another one, or recommending it to anyone else.

I love this glove. I'm on my third one. It does have some issues. It wears out in high-friction spots (for me, the ball of the thumb), but it does so by just getting thinner and thinner, with no pilling or anything, so you can use it until the 11th hour. The other fault is that it does tend to come undone at some seams. However, 5 minutes with a needle and thread fixes that (and I am completely un-handy with sewing, so if I can do it, anybody can). The thumb and back of the hand padding is great - sufficient to pad, but not so much as to make the glove stiff or unwieldy, like some of the knockoffs. And it's really comfortable, as in forget-you're-wearing it. Washing it really is a snap (just toss in the washer), and the sizing in half-sizes means you can get a perfect fit. It costs a little more than I really like to pay for a glove, but it's worth it.

I've had my glove for a year and I don't have a single hole or stressed seam. And that's with fencing 5 days a week. It does dry slowly, but it doesn't become crunchy, which is very nice. At first I was weary about purchasing a $40 glove, but it has been well worth the price. It also fits perfectly.

A good glove. Now that all the budget vendors have copied it with nearly identical synthetic leather version I don't know that the Uhlmann price is worth it unless you order directly from Germany, but the quality is top notch.
Mine currently has holes in the tips of the thumb and two other fingers, as well as various seams that are starting to open and bits a extra flaps that are now flapping. Still a great glove that feels great. As with most of the synthetics it doesn't have the problem that true leather gloves are prone to of hardening into "The Claw". I've been meaning to patch it or replace it, but somehow I never have gotten around to it. Still going strong after 6 years in my possesion, and it was used when I got it.

This is the best feeling glove I have used, and it's easy to wash so you don't scare the ref every time he checks your weapon! They come in half sizes so it's easy to get one that fits your hand perfectly. The velcro is strong enough that it won't wear out before the rest of the glove.
I have had problems with various seams coming undone, particularly between the thumb and index finger. It will also wear through in the areas where it is most abraded (this varies from fencer to fencer, for me it's on the tip of the middle finger and in the bottom of the palm near the wrist because of the way I squeeze when I flick).
For me this is a tried and true comfortable and easy to maintain glove, well worth its price.

I've used this glove for just on 3 years now and its only just starting to get small holes. I find that it doesnt need washing that often, and unlike some gloves which when they get wet and then dry go hard, this glove keeps its pliablity. The padding is adequate, although if you sweat alot it tends to stay damp. Overall its a nice serviceable glove which I would recommend to anyone.
