Electric foil blade Paul France

Product Details
This blade is made from higher quality Sheffield steel. The steel is springier giving the blade a more responsive feel. The blade is produced in a similar way to our Etoile blade but it is heat treated twice to further reduce stresses in the steel and is gold in colour. Supplied fully wired with a standard Leon Paul point.

Summary: Expensive Spaghetti
October 31st, 2004
I've used many other Leon Paul products and generally recommend them to my friends, but these blades go limp faster than waterlogged breadsticks. They look good, but any number of budget blades will out-perform them in the long run, or even the short run. These blades do not reflect the high quality of the rest of the Leon Paul product line.

Summary: King of the forever bend
August 8th, 2003
This blade is not for by or against anyone with less than 2 years experience in competitve fencing. I use this blade solely for practice where it means nothing. it is way to soft for its own good. If you launch an attack and your oppnent counters into it you will have a forever bend as it usually bends to 90 degrees and is never the same again. This is not worth the price for the leon paul name.

Summary: Buy a maraging instead
July 28th, 2003
Six years ago when I stoped fencing for a while these were the standard blade that everyone I knew (in the UK) used. They were good bog standard foil blades nothing special but nothing bad either.

Now how ever the blades do not seem to be up to scratch. I don't know what changed but the blades just seem to go to plastic in no time at all. They bend and don't go back, requiring straightening after every hit. After a bit of use when I disengage it feels like the point is laging behind the rest of the blade.

So don't waste your money buy marging instead.
