Eigertek Eclipse scoring machine

Product Details

This is a nice machine for a small club.  It is light and compact without being fragile.  The ability to run off a 9-volt battery makes it particularly convenient where portability is a concern (when we got our first Eigertek it quickly became the machine everyone would grab first - supplanting the old Leon Paul 2-weapon club box which also ran off of batteries).

One nice thing about the Eigertek is that it uses white LED's for off-target lights, rather than yellow.  Another is that the buzzer tone can be adjusted so that every machine won’t sound the same.  The fact that it is relatively inexpensive ($375) and that updates are free also make it easy on the budget.

The Eigertek has its downsides as well.  The LED’s are buried inside the case and backlight flat panel displays on the front of the machine are small and not all that easy to see from the side of the ends of the strip (extension lights would go a long way toward solving that problem).  The buzzer is also relatively quiet, which means it is sometimes difficult to hear the machine in a noisy, crowded venue.  This makes the Eigertek less ideal for use in large tournaments (newer models supposedly have a slightly louder buzzer).  These drawbacks keep the Eigertek from being an excellent choice for use a large tournaments, however it's an excellent choice for a small club, or even for a small local tournament with only a couple of strips.
