Chameleon Sabre Blade with Y shaped Cross section

Product Details

These blades are lighter than our Etoile and France ranges at approximately 160g meaning they are extremely agile however; the trade off is a slightly reduced life span. They are finished with a fine polish and chemical etch giving them an "oil slick" appearance. These blades are available in size 5 and sze 2. They have a Y shaped cross section.

Odd.  As the "Chameleon" is a private labeled StM Rainbow blade.

Summary: Light Weight with Zip
November 21st, 2008

I switched to Chameleons after a club mate had read  about them and reccomended them.

I LOVE them. I have small hands, so weight is always an issue for me. They made the STMs I had and hated feel like an anvil they are light. This has helped my control tremendously.

They take and hold a nice bend in the blade easily. (My STMs could go through a tornado and stay straight as an arrow.) The bit of snapy-flex in the foible makes for easy whip-over on guards.

I used them exclusively the past 6 months 2-3 times a week, plus at least 1 competition a month without fail. I have a couple intense sabre fencers in my salle the blades have held as true with them as fencing many of our new kid sabre fencers, which sometimes is more like defending Pirates of the Caribbean than a sporting bout.
