title says it all. these knickers just irks the hell out of me. the only thing good about them are the CFF stripes i sewed on the sides. i soooooo regret buying a pair of these and the fact that i ordered it from Canada makes it worse as i had to asborb the additional costs (duty, etc.). the fit is horrible. for me, they were tight in the front and super baggy in the back. the elastics keep getting caught above the knee, even for the smallest lunges/steps (and there really is no excuse for this at all since i have the teensiest legs ever, lol!). now i'm going to have to spend the extra $100+ CAD on something that actually fits which is what i should have done in the first place. you really get what you pay for.

I picked up a pair of these on a stop to the blue gauntlet store and tried them on. On me, they're a bit long and stop midway down my calves, not to mention they're also annoyingly baggy and someone clownish-looking on me. I asked the saleswoman if they looked a bit big on me and she told me that they would shrink in the dryer. Wrong. Even on high heat these things will keep their shape and size, which is odd for a purely nylon garment. The resiliency, however may be a plus for others who are looking for a machine-washable product that can also be machine-dried without any problem.
They're fairly priced for the quality and workmanship; the matching paneling looks great with the BG competition jacket with well-tailored lines that flawlessly seam together. The heavy nylon protects well against epee leg hits, which is nice, but for now I will switch to my old cotton santellis (which are also devoid of the annoying unnecessary 'marching band-esque' shoulder straps) for practice and foil events.
Overall, these knickers are good for a beginner's budget, but I would not recommend these to other short fencers who may have the same problem with the long length, especially if you are thinking of getting your name printed on the trailing leg. One girl at a competition got her name printed on a pair of these, but because she was so short her knickers were pulled up at the knee leaving her name an illegible mess of blue letters hidden in all the folds.
