Uhlmann Grip Star Glove

Product Details
This glove grips really really well. There is extra padding on the tops of the fingers and the top of the hand to absorb some shock should a weapon hit you on the hand. Totally worth your money.

Summary: Nice but short lived...
January 11th, 2007
I really do like the feel of these gloves. They give a good grip on the weapon without having to hold it to tight and for me the amount of material in the hand is just right. I tend to prefer a thinner glove on the hand and these are very good in that regard.

The gloves hold up well to washing in that they are not likely to fade as long as reasonable procations are taken and they don't seem to shrink in the was overly much. The velcro is decent, not great but does the job for most of the life of the gloves.

I have had three of them so far and I don't think I have gotten more than 4 months out of any of them. The sticky parts that contact your weapon wear down quickly and the glove itself tends to develop holes in the contact points of your hand quicker than even the cheap gloves out there from Absolute and others. I have also had every single one start to fail in the stitching where the thumb is attached to the hand.

Given their very high cost, I would expect them to last longer than the cheaper alternatives out there, or at least as long as Uhlmanns own standard glove, but that is not the case in my experience. If you don't mind replacing your glove frequently, they have awesome fit and feel, but if you want it to last a season or more, I would not recommend them.
