These shoes, in one word, rock. I will never again use a traditional fencing shoe. Good cushion, etc, and they\'ve suffered 1 year of heavy usage on \"cheesegrater\" aluminum strips without complaint. I replace the insoles about every 6 months, but other than that, no upkeep. I love these things.

Great support, cushioning and traction! abit heavier than fencing specific shoes but makes up for it with better cushioning and good grip on dusty gym floors. slightly too narrow for my feet though. very cheap alternative to fencing shoes. ($40 compared to $110)

I really like these shoes. Supportive, but with the right amount of flex in the toe area. Great heel cushion, in fact I don't have to use a heel cup with these.
And durable. The uppers show a lot of dirt, but the cushioning, support, and traction are all going strong after 6 months of heavy use.
The only downside for me is the looks. To me the shoe is pretty ugly, but a lot of people tell me they like the look of the shoe.
A word of caution, if you like fencing in slippers, these are not the shoe for the you.
