Summary: Good calendar
December 28th, 2004
I'm rating this having gotten the calendar the other day. I don't really have much to say that isn't already said in the product information. The calendar consists of different fencing photos for each month. It includes all three weapons.

In short, it's an excellent calendar for those of us who like fencing pictures.

Summary: Artistic Calendar
December 26th, 2004
Fantastic photographs of elite fencers before, during and after competition. Serge Timacheff's photos have a vivid composition depicting the emotions of fencing. A must have ... for the office or home of a fencer.

Summary: Quality calendar, pretty
December 22nd, 2004
For some products, fencers are used to receiving 2nd-string quality. One of our great fencing books is photocopied; some of our great fencing DVDs are home-copied.

This calendar is NOT like that.

The production value is professional. The calendar is 8.5"x11", with two staples in the spine, and a hole punched in the bottom middle to make it easier to pin to the wall. The pages are high-quality and glossy, with excellent printing and great full-color pictures. The cover is heavier and stiffer than the sheets, to protect the months. Each weapon is well-represented, the photos are interesting and mostly action-oriented. You even get a nice picture of the US Women's sabre squad in the 2006 look-ahead page.

It is nice to look at and a pleasure to handle. Except for having holidays written in, this calendar is exactly like the picture-calendars (of dogs, cats, horses, shorelines, etc.) you get at bookstores. Thumbs up.
