Great idea! http://www.fencing.net/reviews/reviews/447.html I got a pair from Blue Gauntlet. Great toy for introducing fencing to my 5-year-old, and giving the kids some idea of what Dad is doing when "fencing". Tue, 28 Sep 2004 04:46:14 +0100 CsmaCD
http://www.fencing.net/reviews/reviews/371.html Great For All Ages http://www.fencing.net/reviews/reviews/371.html It's a pretty simple concept. Foam sabers that you can beat someone with. They're fun. They're fun for kids with kids. They're fun for adults with kids. And they're fun for adults playing with other adults. In an ideal world, everyone would carry one, and when you got frustrated, just whach the other guy on the head. : ) My one complaint. OVER-PRICED! It's just foam. One year, I was going to buy them for all my neices and nephews. Then, I looked at the price...

http://www.fencing.net/reviews/reviews/369.html Great toy http://www.fencing.net/reviews/reviews/369.html I got mine from Blue Gauntlet. My son and I chase each other around the house all the time with these. Great for starting young kids on the path to fencing. A lot of fun. My wife hates them (something about being to rambunctious... wives :p) Tue, 13 Apr 2004 07:05:43 +0100 gojujay http://www.fencing.net/reviews/reviews/368.html some better than others http://www.fencing.net/reviews/reviews/368.html I too am a big fan of the Ron Miller Wacky Wacker. I have several that I purchased from Ron when he first ha dthem made. They are all still good as new (except one the dog ate, dog's repost!) Over time I have purchased a few more that are of a lessor quality than the original. They are still great teaching tolls and great fun but they do not hold up as well as the original blue or red ones. Things to look for: the density of the foam and if there are any seems or splices. I have seen a few being sold that are made out of foam that has been spliced together creating a seem in the foam that can cut. Several companies now make wacky wackers under a variety of names. (So much for that patent) Prieur sells them, sword masters, PBT and a company in the UK Battling sells all sorts of "extras" get some there fun, fencers and none fencers can enjoy beating the stuffings out of each other. I've had a pair in my law firm's library for 5 years now and no one can evre resist grabing them and taking a wack at some one.

http://www.fencing.net/reviews/reviews/366.html Great Toy - Durable http://www.fencing.net/reviews/reviews/366.html The picture used for this product review listing if of one of a pair of Wacky Wackers I have that are 11 years old! These have seen a great deal of use and I have a set at the office to flog developers who don't meet their deadlines, vendors who can't spell the company name correctly, and anyone who makes some lame fencing joke when they find out that I play with swords. I've seen kids play with these and I've seen a fencing coach give a pretty good sabre lesson (focused on the basics and footwork) with these. They are great for kids games, tag, and footwork drills. Substitute these for gloves when playing the glove game and you've got a great way to tire the kids out at camp. You can get these at Triplette and I'm not sure where else.
