I had this lame for two months and I thought it was great, but in the third month the lame started ripping and by the fourth month it had SIX HOLES! Super duty indeed! Sure there are no dead spots but there's no way this would pass a lame test. You'd think a $100 lame would hold up better.

I've had this lame for about 2 years now and its held up quite well with regular use, about 4-6 hours a week of fencing year round. It still looks brand new, there aren't any sweat stains or rusting problems. Its passed at every tournament, both local and not and I don't wash it as much as I probably should either.
The one downside to this lame is that its extremely abrasive, thats probably a side-effect of the durable material that its made of but this stuff will rip up your jacket (At least with my cotton sleeves) if you're not careful about scraping your arms across the lame, but that may be more of a posture issue with me. However, it still feels kind of like sandpaper but thats the only downside I see. The price is a less than that of the Uhlmann/Allstar stainless steel lames. Its highly recommended, espcially for beginners.
