I like as little glove as I can get. I hate heavy, bulky gauntlets that make it hard to wrap my very large hands around a grip, or that bunch up so that an opponent can snap a bit of glove or cuff from around a guard.
This glove has a very lightweight (and lightly padded) build to it. The hand area itself is made of a dark grey suede-like material and the cuff, which fastens securely with both a long seam of Velcro and a large elastic piece of material, is a standard white color.
The glove will shrink and fade just a bit in its first if you toss it in a machine. After that it settles down to a comfortable shape and can be washed with your whites without a fear of fading or further shrinkage. You may want to consider getting a half size smaller than normal to allow for this shrinkage.
The glove is thin as I have said, but it has held up very well under about six months of hard use in foil and some epee. It is developing two small holes near the base of the thumb and the center of the palm.
All in all I think it is the best fitting of all the budget gloves I have seen or used. It offers a minimum of protection, but provides a great deal of control as the trade off.
