Fleche WIDE practice epee blade

Product Details
Minimally heavier than the Fleche regular, but with the same tested durability and keeping of form, the Fleche wide is an important advance in blade engineering. Recognizable by a distinctively wide base, the Fleche Wide dramatically redistributes weight from the entire length of the blade and shifts it down in the hand. As a result, the hand is spared extra weight far away at the end and you get a much better feel of the point. A strong, advantageously constructed blade. Well balanced all by it self.

I used these blades while I was learning epee until I had enough money to buy better ones. I went through perhaps four.
They are much heavier than the Leon Paul that I currently prefer which was good for strength training when I switched from foil and held their straightness fairly well. There is more flexibility than the standard fleche blade, but not too much. It does discolor fairly quickly.
I still use my last fleche wide as a back up and will probably buy another when it finally breaks as a day-to-day blade.
