Romania upsets Poland at World Championships |

The #1 ranked Polish women's foil team was upset by Romania in a close match at the 2004 World Women's Team Foil World Championships.
The last match began with Romania up 40-36. Poland's Sylwia Gruchala went on a 4-0 run to even the score 40-40. Romainia then went on to score the next 5 touches to end the match 45-40.
Romania will face Italy in the gold medal match. Poland will face Hungary for the bronze medal. |
