Requirement for Transparent Masks Suspended in Foil |

The FIE has issued an Urgent Letter suspending the requirement for the transparent mask in foil for FIE events. The letter refers to a reported accident in Venezuela during a training session in epee and goes on to talk about increasingly physical and violent actions in the Epee world cup in Doha.
We are seeking clarification from the FIE on the visor mask requirement. Since the reported injury was in epee, it would make the most sense for this to apply equally to epee and foil but we will wait for official word.
