Penn Fencing Opens Ivy Season With Victories

Jan. 31, 2004 Men top Yale, 20-7, while women defeat Elis, 18-9.

Penn Fencing earned a clean sweep of Yale at Weightman Hall Gym, as the men opened defense of their 2003 Ivy crown with a 20-7 victory and the women improved to 5-0 on the year with an 18-9 decision over the Bulldogs. The victory raised the Quakers men's record to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the Ancient Eight, while the women are now 5-0 overall and 1-0 in Ivy competition.
