In the area of the constellation Vulpecula. If you look near the right bottom area of the photo, you'll see Collinder 399, AKA Brocchi's Cluster, AKA the Coathanger. You'll know it when you see it. It's really amazing in binoculars. Took this 17MAY02.

Dude! What type of scope do you have? I've got a 10" F4 Schmitt Newtonian, but I haven't had enough time on it yet to get the computerized go-to working right yet.

8" F5 Newtonian. I just piggybacked the camera on it and let the motors run... 28mm lens on the camera, about a 4 minute exposure.


I've been looking at the adverts for those Schmidt-Newts - it's a Meade, right? I REALLLLY want one, but will have to wait for a while... 10 inch aperture and a good EQ mount would be so cool...
