Circa late 2008 Alliance epee

Photo Details
Poster: foibles  (see this users gallery)

Sometimes you get what you pay for. Sometimes not even that: Cheap chinese epee from Alliance. Light, occasional use results in almost immediate hot-spot in blade after horrible bend. After 1 year from purchase: Wire popping out, excessive blade rust (nothing else in bag rusted), and chipping, scaling on the guard. Exceptionally crappy weapon, and a poor value at any price. In 30 odd years of fencing, this is by far the worst weapon I've ever seen. I will keep the socket and pommel nut, the rest goes unbroken into the trash.
