A buddy of mine stumbled across an original Yamaha BB1200 bass sitting in a pawn shop. After playing around with it for a bit, picked it up, cleaned it up, a new set of strings, and it plays like a charm. Nice growly sound. All original parts, serial number points to it being made in 1979. Neck-through construction, makes my Peavey feel like a toy.
It's the one on the right - the one on the left is my Peavey BXP.
