It's not too often I get to see the northern lights from the yard... living in a city will do that sort of thing. Was lucky to get a few photos on 01OCT06, this was the best of the bunch. Just pointed and shot with a digital camera (Sony DSC-W5), I think it was a four second exposure.

I'm jealous... I only see the Northern Lights when I'm out in the country. I really want to go up to the Yukon in the winter sometime to see them a little closer to the source.

I saw the Northen Lights once, from my town in Connecticut, Southern Canadia. They were all green though. Was still awesome, we all stopped band practice and looked up for a while... then got back to marching.
