| Non-fencing talk at the training times Hi!
Came to think about the "Water Cooler" IRL. What sort of topics arise in your clubs other than fencing related ones?
In my club, High-School issues are common, because of the age structure. Family is another among those somewhat older than that gang, one of my team-mates has been known to talk about his great-grandchildren. I am the only reader of fencing101 at my club, but some of the issues have been discussed at the club. Not much politics - anyone woh can report of club where that is a common talkie?
Have a nice time!

| Monty Python!! And considering my old instructor, stories of his times in Korea and VietNam (fishing with hand grenades, etc.), discussions of the best methods for barfighting, military history of Eurasia...politics was never a big one, because it was normally something like: "Man, can't stand Clinton." "Yup. Can't stand him." "Me either." [Pause] "So! How about a round-robin?" |

| My club since there are two hard line republicans mixed in a bunch of Democrats will often start talking about politics. Even then though it's usually not serious. We all had a laugh over Howard Dean's antics.

| Aside from general life things, I usually end up discussing fencing. Usually something about an injury I just received/inflicted. It's always a laugh, though. |

| Quite often, me and the girls talk about school and our unfortunate love lives. With the guys, we talk about how we can beat each other at anything.

| We discuss club politics or what new funny noise we'll use as a cheer at the next team tournament. |

| LOL katman.
The coach is usually talking about the latest film to come out or going off on fine details about semi-automatic weapons....
Most of the club are gothy sabreurs... nuff said.
Very little is fencing actually talked about |
