If you think that the Bushes' connection with the Bin Ladens and the skating by the Bush adminsitration in protecting the Saudis' contribution to the so-called Arab charities - which were alleged to fund Al Qaeda - are outrageous, then, this one movie you should not miss, esp. in this election year in the US and Canada.
The movie?

It was the most popular movie in last year's Vancouver Film Festival.
It also won Best Documentary in the Sundance Film Festival.

THE CORPORATION: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power
by Joel Bakan.
Michael Moore was one of the contributing characaters. His explanation of why corporations still show his anti-corporation documentaries was most illuminating: Because the corporations can make a profit from showing his movies. His analogy of corporations will sell him a length of rope so he can hang them because the corp can make a buck from it was inspiring.
If I wasn't already a small-l liberal before, maybe even a socialist - we Cdns are all small-s socialists compared to you Americans - I definitely am one now. Yes, I've been brainwashed...

Anyone who would take michael moore (lower case intentional) seriously needs to do some real research. Over and over again, he had been shown to use manufactured data to support his views. Talk about an "intelligence breakdown", that's michael moore. The only thing he is good at, is making up stuff to support his lies and promoting himself.
And I was hoping you weren't serious about that conspiracy theory thing. See liberals aren't supposed to believe in conspiracies, except, I forgot, vast right wing ones..........

| There are a lot of idiots out there, on both sides. Focusing on a few high profiles ones, like limbaugh (lower case intentional) doesn't mean there are fewer on the other side. I would imagine, right now, there are more. Looking for ways to take power back makes for some pretty good conspiracies, don't you think??

My personal favorite theory is that Bush has really relapsed back into his previous drunken state and such excuses as "He choked on a pretzil" are just there to explain away the cuts/bruses he gets when he loses his sense of balance due to imbibing.
Also, it occours to me that Bush, with his spending policies, is also a bad conservative. | |

They all lie, they all spend. Some give us away. Just some of us are not for all the endless entitlements the dems give away to stay in power. What was CA gonna do? Double the tuition for residents and give illegal aliens free tuition? I'm not sure about this, but it sounds like something a CA dem would do. True or not, it't very much like a lot of the programs "liberals" (I hate labels like that because they group you sometimes to people with whom you share only one issue) propose. Not out of the creamy-rich goodness of their hearts, but to stay in power.

| True, but cutting aide to veterans is something a California Republican is doing. I don't consider myself right wing or left wing, but that is completely wrong.
