| Toronto World Cup Word on the street is that the FIE is going to handle the Toronto Epee World Cup like they have in years past, and they are not closing it to just eight American fencers.
Cheers!

And for the record the World Cup was always held in Montreal until this year.
This year it's in Vancouver.
Look to your left and I'm sure you'll find it. |

| Pardon, you're right. It's in Vancouver. I'm not so good with my Canadian geography.

Good thing you don't get to play with bombs either!

| Hey there's nothing wrong with spelling CanadiEns. That's what French Canadians are often referred as, and I beleive the most winning NHL Franchise in history is also called Montreal CanadiEns
(having said that, Go Canucks Go!!! This is Vancouver's Year!!!! )
so i guess it's an appropriate spelling.
Btw Those planning to come to Vancouver, trust me you'll enjoy it much more than you would enjoy coming to Toronto in March . Vancouver is a beautiful city and the venue (well the main one anyway) is a 5 minute walk from some gorgeous viewpoints and beaches of the UBC campus. Proximity of 2 decent pubs with good Canadian beer is also a big plus
Hopefully see you there! |

| What Lemberg failed to mention is that some of those beaches are what the bureaucrats and prudes call "Clothing Optional" - wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more, say no more...

Army fencer,
The jokes are REALLY on you on this one!!!!
Seattle and Buffalo, what's the difference.
What's the difference a few thousand kms make any way. A couple of nuclear devices will make sure the targets are not missed.
*My apologies, can't resist.*
Here's a link to MapQuest so you can see where UBC is. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...submit=Get+Map
Zoom out and you can see where Vancovuer is in relation to Seattle and TaCOMA...

What Army Fencer's referring to is not JUST a World Cup Event.
It's a World Cup GRAN PRIX event. It's the season finale...

Oh, in March, the cherry blossoms should be in full bloom.
In Vancouver, there are streets after streets of them. The Japanese government and people gifted them to us [in a ploy to get us to consume more and more cameras and fotogrphic supplies shooting them searching for that "perfect blossom" - as per "The Last Samurai". ] The City of Vancouver government planted a lot of them too.
Hope to see you here.
I most probably would be there with a still camera...

| I went to a Canadian elite tournament in Vancouver a couple of years ago, and I had a great time. It is a nice city, and the scenery around the city is great. I didn't want to leave when it was time to go to the airport.

| Patrick the only reason I did not mention the clothing optional beaches, is because March is till not quite a season for Wreck Beach Otherwise I can be found there virtually every day I do not work during the summer (for the record I do excercise my clothing option, as in, keep it on... well most of the time )
Veeco, I watched a tape of you fencing in Vancouver a while ago. I think it was bout vs Enej Bajgoric. Graet fencing! |

| Clothing optional & Veeco Lemberg,
You have to lend me the tape with Veeco fencing...
March is just coolish. If one is in the sun in the pm it's OK.
One can always go to look at the cherry blossoms...and look for the perfect bloom.

| I am afraid this tape is too good a representation of my fencing ability at the time... ;-)

Cheers! | if you read the rules, you'd find that that decision is made by the organisers, not the FIE.
A-grades outside europe can decide on the amount of entries by countries on the same continent |
