Possibly a varient of the room as fishbowl idea, would be to get some of that liquid urethane expanding foam, and some plastic tarps.

Divide off her part of the room (and possibly cover anything that she might miss/you don't want to destroy) and mix/pour the expanding foam into her room.
The stuff expands to about 30x it's volume and appears to set in a matter of minutes.
It would be really cool to open the door and see your half the room as a large foam brick...

The main problem with this is the cost. It seems that 40 cubic feet of the stuff runs about $180-200. And you will need more than that to cover her room. I seem to remember making this stuff from scratch in some chemistry class i had so you may be able to find a recipe to make it out of relativly inexpensive chemicals...

Just a thought.

Talk about serendipity - an article just showed up in The Onion with the title "Six Dead in West Point Panty Raid".

For those of you not familiar with it, The Onion is a hilarious weekly spoof online newspaper (I think you can get a print version too...) I posted links to the main page as well as the specific article, but the link to the article will probably be bad by next Wednesday. You'll have to look in the archives (all free of course)

have fun!

Sad news...

Thanks to the new wave of regulation here, we now have to obtain permission from the seniors to do their rooms. Among the very few who refused to give it, was the roommate of the fencer in question here...

By the way - there's an entire thread devoted to that article.
