Congrats of the good finish. I too had a tournament this weekend. This time I fenced epee and was able to get over my nerves after the first few pool bouts. The result was that I went 3-2 in the pools, was seeded 22 of 52 and I believe finished 11th. I am happy! Now my confidence level is a little better as well.

** Edit ** I just checked the site, I placed 16th... I just thought that since I beat the 11th seed that I became the 11th seed

Oh well, still a nice finish for my first epee tournament in a year and a half.

I thought its because you were the top 4 and earned a prize hence your happiness... lol at least for me I didn't care about anything unless I got a prize or I beat the hell out of the top seed and were too tired to continue.
