    Epee threads

Recently during practice, My opponent threw himself onto my tip with enough force to bend the blade just below the barrel. I've been able to pretty much straighten the tip, but it appears that the threaded portion of the blade has been partially collapsed. I can thread on a barrel, but it loosens quickly even with locktite. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to repair the blade? Has this happened to anyone else?

Note: the blade is a Leon Paul so it has a lot of space and pinching the wire is not an issue.

    Thanks in advance

Try spreading the gap a bit wider to effectively increase the diameter of the threaded section. I've had something similar happen on my weapons and was able to restore it by spreading it apart,

Just go gently and and check the fit frequently to avoid overspreading: you may split the barrel or tear up the threads if the gap's too wide.
